SQ3R is a reading comprehension method named for its five steps: survey, question, read, recite, and review

Advantages of the SQ3R study methods:

• university students using the SQ3R strategy retain more information on exams. students develop better organizational skills, association, and critical thinking by using SQ3R.

• The first two steps of SQ3R, surveying and questioning, help students create a foundation of knowledge before moving on to comprehension

• SQ3R forces students to use brain's information processing systems more productively.
